Solar Plexus Chakra: Centre of Power

Updated: Jun 16, 2021

The Manipura Chakra (the solar plexus chakra) is the third and last of the lower centres in the main chakra system. This is the centre of power, the sacred fire of will, discipline, and inner light. It is the portal of accessing our sense of individul self, our personal power, will, drive and determination. It gives us the confidence to be our authentic selves, and the courage to over come our fears. This inner fire provides the light to see the possibilities that are yet to manifest and the opportunity to transform that which stands in our way of those magical opportunities into a guiding light for our soul. The ability to tap into this sacred force of power requires us to step out of our comfort zones and lean into the unknown.

The solar plexus chakra is located in the upper abdominal region containing the digestive organs, and symbolizing our ability to digest life. It is connected to the element of fire which symbolizes inner alchemy, the illumination of spirit, and our sense of sight which is deeply connected to our intuition. It holds our ego, our individual identity, and therefore the illusion of duality and individuality. Keep in mind that the ego is not all bad, as it is often portrayed, it provides us with beautiful opportunities to experience duality within ourselves in order to experience our true self as consciousness and play out our karmic contracts.

If you are experiencing a poor sense of self and identity, low energy, lack of will and discipline, a victim mentality, poor digestion, anger, aggression, the need for control of your external environment, struggling with your ego, over competitiveness, or hyperactivity then this portal of power is out of its optimal balance and vibrational frequency.

Here are 3 things you can do to bring health and balance to your Manipura Chakra:

  1. Practice Sun Salutations while worshiping the divine light of the sun and all its wisdom.

  2. Meditate on your internal flame and connect to your inner light.

  3. Create a personal power affirmation. "I stand in my power".

When your solar plexus chakra is in a healthy state you will feel your inner fire lighting you up from the inside out. You will have a healthy sense of self, confidence, and courage to continuously grow out of your comfort zone. You will feel free to stand in your light and be your authentic and playful self.

Working with Jess in her Inner Alchemy sessions gave me the tools to discover the woman I am meant to be, and have always been, just waiting to be awakened, and heal my inner child. The sessions helped me on my healing journey and facilitated the implementation of ways to heal my soul through to transmutation of energy. Highly recommend this course to anyone feeling lost on the healing journey or would like to get started. Be courageous and face your shadows, Jess is there to guide you!

I felt called to join the Inner Alchemy Mentorship, and I am forever grateful that I did. Jessicah is knowledgeable, understanding, and a great listener. She helped me navigate blockages, rediscover my inner power, and honour my boundaries in the most caring way. If your thinking of joining this course, do it. I’ve unearthed my inner power, reclaimed my energy, and found peace within.

The mentorship with Jessicah was incredible! The journey she took me on within myself feels so far away from right now because it changed me so much, in so many deep ways, even though it was just 7-8 months ago. The connection found in my womb was incredible. I had extreme pain 3 weeks of every month to now, where my bleed brings 2 days of a milder pain at most (or often no pain at all). I am thankful to the ways Jessicah opened my eyes to the womb being so much more than simple, and for me at the time, excruciating organ. She helped me create a true connection to one of my deepenst sources of creativity and wisdom.
